DESCRIPTION:MAHADEVI – THE GREAT GODDESS WITHIN\n// A Workshop for Women. \nSaturday 24th June\, 4:00 – 7:00pm.\n£18.00. Spaces limited\, pre-booking advised. \nGather for a new moon late afternoon with Mahadevi\, the Great Goddess\, exploring her multifaceted personalities and gifts through a practice incorporating the Goddess archetypes. \nAcknowledging the elemental forces and our connection to a wider cyclical nature\, we’ll explore the Goddess’ capacity to create\, to sustain and nurture; her ability to tolerate the unknown; her love of the dark and the night and the moon; the wisdom of the circle\, not the line. \nInspired by the ancient scriptures\, the Upanishads\, and in particular the Devi Upanishad\, this workshop will incorporate an introduction to the ‘Tridevi’ – three goddesses who are the manifestations of the Great Goddess herself. Our physical practice will draw on asana\, mudra\, and mantra to explore each of these faces of the Goddess; from insight and wisdom\, to balance and serenity\, to fierce transformation and power.
