About Sunshine International Arts (S.i.A)

The mission of S.i.A is to empower emerging artists and local arts organisations across all disciplines in their creative lives and professional/organisational development. We specialise in the art of carnival, with our program of activities representing the motto “Think Local”.

We run an arts-oriented community centre based in the heart of Loughborough Junction, Brixton; Carnival-Arts-For-Everyone…(C.A.F.E.)

Our centre is an imaginative and creative space that is a meeting point for South London’s arts and crafts community. Whilst providing a vibrant base for local arts, community and professional groups: Whats On . The centre also offers affordable studio spaces for hire.

S.i.A delivers high quality carnival and community arts projects with an aim of informing and educating local and national communities, children and young people (CYP), freelancers and the public about ‘The Art of Carnival’. Our vision is to create work that is the haute couture of carnival arts that is challenging in its vision and content. We are committed to building long-term relationships that empower those we work with, and to create the foundations of a legacy in the community arts and carnival arts.
