Calling All PERFORMERS: Notting Hill Carnival 2017
Take part in the ultimate on-stage experience and perform at Notting Hill Carnival 2017!

The biggest carnival in Europe is on the horizon and our Mas Band is gearing up to delivering another award winning production. This year Sunshine International Arts is looking for 15 performers to take part in an improvised piece to lead our procession. As a carnival company S.i.A is interested in reviving the ‘play’ in ‘mas’ and using theatrical devices and techniques to revive characters from the Trinidadian carnival tradition. Performers will get to wear our tailor-made costumes and perform in front of NHC judges and over 1 million spectators.

This is a unique chance for experienced performers looking to experiment with a new format or those with little experience who would like a platform to explore their theatrical ambitions. The opportunity will include designing and making costumes for the performance alongside our Artistic Director. We will provide the space and support needed for performers to meet, rehearse and learn about the history of Trinidadian masquerade.
We will accept applications up until the 4th August, however we will work on a first-come first-served basis as places are limited to 15 performers.
