MAS CAMP Launch OPEN WEEKEND
The weather is getting (a bit) better, summer is almost here, which means….NOTTING HILL CARNIVAL is fast approaching!
We will kick off our Mas Camp and Meet the Designer sessions from Friday 3rd June. We will be celebrating with an Open Weekend:
Friday: AFTER WORK LIME/ MAS CAMP 4pm-9pm
Our first Mas Camp of the year – find your inner carnival artist! Come and get involved in making costumes in C.A.F.E, our headquarters and the home of our Mas Camp (a social place where carnival costumes are made).
Join our Mas Camp and learn about the culture of carnival! Check out our in-house exhibition ‘The Art of Carnival’. On show will also be our design for a Bel Air costume, commissioned by the British Library where it was previously on display.

Saturday, 4th June: ONE HUNDRED FACES KIDS WORKSHOP 11am-12.30pm
Let your children discover their crafty side in our FREE mask painting workshop. We will be launching our One Hundred Faces project and masks will feature in our Notting Hill Carnival Children’s Day production.

Sunday – STEEL PAN EXTRAVAGANZA 12pm- 3.30pm
Want to hear the melodious beat of steel pan or better yet get involved? We have a whole afternoon dedicated to it, as we welcome The Metronomes to our Main Arch:
- 12pm – 2pm – Traditional Trinidadian lunch
- 2pm – 2.30pm- Metronomes Performance
- 2.30pm-3.30pm – Steel Pan workshop – (all levels welcome £15)
